SnowEx 2019

The Second NASA Workshop on SnowEx Results and Planning will be held on September 17 – 18, 2019, at the Sheraton Baltimore-Washington International (BWI) Airport Hotel located at 1100 Old Elkridge Landing Rd., Linthicum Heights, MD 21090.  The objective of the meeting is to share results and experiences from prior SnowEx campaigns and to plan future SnowEx campaigns.  Though there will be some sessions dedicated to presenting results from prior SnowEx campaigns, most of the workshop will focus on discussions, and the planning of future campaigns. To view the final agenda, please use this PDF Document of the Final Agenda. To view the preliminary list of posters to be presented at the workshop, please use this PDF Document of Posers.

Upcoming campaigns that will take place in 2021, 2022 and 2023 will discussed at the workshop.  Field and aircraft measurements will take place predominately during the winter and spring seasons and therefore each SnowEx campaign will be named after the year in which most of the measurements will be acquired.  The new terminology for SnowEx campaigns is: SnowEx 2017, SnowEx 2020 (this coming winter), SnowEx 2021, SnowEx 2022 and SnowEx 2023.  At the workshop we will not focus on planning for the SnowEx 2020 campaign because plans will already be largely solidified for SnowEx 2020; the focus will be on planning the SnowEx 2021, SnowEx 2022 and SnowEx 2023 campaigns.
