A map of the NASA SnowEx sites (2017-2021). The 2021 Time Series sites are a subset of the 2020 Time Series sites with the addition of the prairie site at the Central Agricultural Research Center (CARC) in Moccasin, Montana. A total of 7 sites participated in weekly ground-based observations, each having a varying number of unique snow pit sites repeated weekly within 1 to 2 days of the UAVSAR flights.
