ICE-POP 2018 is an international field campaign organized to observe heavy orographic snow in the Pyeongchang region of South Korea, set to coincide with the 2018 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The goal of the campaign is to improve scientific understanding of orographic snow, advancing snowfall estimation and numerical weather prediction. The international effort is being led by the Korean Meteorological Administration (KMA).
