The earliest SnowEx kickoff workshop was held in July 2015 in Columbia, MD, followed by a second SnowEx workshop that was held in Seattle, Washington, in March of 2016. Following these workshops, the organizing team has been hard at work collecting information on sites, sensors, and aircraft, for the community to study and discuss plans as recorded at different meetings since 2016. The most-recent SnowEx workshop was held in Linthincum, Maryland, near BWI Airport, in September 2019.
