The Operational Land Imager on Landsat 8 satellite captured a rare snow in the Sahara Desert (northern Algerian town of Aïn Séfra.) on January 8, 2018: https://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/NaturalHazards/view.php?id=91556&src=nha.
